John Krueger Travel Bursary

The John Krueger Travel Bursary was established in May 2012 in memory of John Krueger, a committed and valued member of CACSD. John passed away on March 23, 2012 at the age of 58. John worked in Student Development at Redeemer University College for over 23 years, as Academic Support and Vocational Counselor. John was very passionate about professional development through Partner articles and leading many workshops at CACSD conferences. If John had his way, every member of the CACSD would be able to attend the conference and be enriched as Student Development Professionals. The renaming of this Bursary is a small way of honouring John’s commitment to the mission of the CACSD.

CACSD may fund one or more CACSD members each year to attend the CACSD conference. Funding will be available at the discretion of the executive. The funding would be to a maximum of $400.00 CDN depending on the financial expenses of the applicant(s). Members must apply (see application below) to the CACSD president for this funding by April 15th of each year and include in their application the reasons why they would benefit from attending the conference. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need. The CACSD executive will choose applicant(s) by April 17 of each year. If a member chosen for funding is, for unforeseen reasons, unable to attend the CACSD conference, the funding would then be returned to the CACSD executive.

Please submit your applications using this form by April 15. If you have any questions contact Andrea Hensen at andrea.hensen@amborse.edu
